In Lithuania, club administrations apply various pricing models to their clients. In this article, we will examine the most common options.

Membership (subscription) duration

The duration of the membership for which the client pays depends on several things:
-> the club wants to raise funds at one time, for example at the beginning or end of the month;
-> depending on the costs that the club incurs for each organized activity.

The most popular membership durations are:
1. Monthly membership when the period is calculated from the beginning of the participant’s attendance. For example, if a participant joined the activities on September 15, the end of his paid membership will be on October 14 inclusive. If the client wishes to extend the membership, he will be able to do so from October 15.
2. Monthly membership when subscriptions are compared to the end of the month. Not always, clients first join on the 1st day of the calendar month, and the club administration wants all payments for the service to be made at the same time. Therefore, if a client comes for the first time on September 15, his membership will end on September 30. The administration will reduce the price for the first subscription to equalize the payment terms of all clients. And in the next calendar month, the membership will look like this 2026.10.01 : 2026.10.31 and the client will pay the full price.
3. Four (4) week memberships. In this case, the end of the membership for all clients may be different, depending on its start. An example of such a membership period would be 2026.09.15 : 2026.10.12 inclusive. The club chooses this type of membership duration when:
a. calculates the costs of each session: one hour of room rental, teacher’s salary or equipment used during the session;
b. wants to receive the full subscription amount immediately.

AFTER CHOOSING THE SUBSCRIPTION DURATION, THE CLUB HAS TO DECIDE ON SEVERAL MORE THINGS:
-> the client pays in advance – for the current period;
-> the client pays for the previous period – say, after a month.

PRICING TYPE
-> fixed price;
-> variable price, which depends on the number of sessions attended.

Most often, calculating a variable price for each client takes a lot of time. There is also a lot of error if teachers did not record attendance on time, which is used to calculate the amount payable for services.

Variable price pricing is the most complicated way to manage the organization’s revenue if the club does not have dedicated tools for this.

The Edufy platform offers several ways to calculate the final amount of the variable price.

I. Variable price is calculated mathematically. Everything is simple: you specify the price of one session attended and after a month the platform will calculate the full amount of sessions attended and automatically generate an invoice.

II. Stepped variable price. You define the ranges of sessions attended and the applicable price. After a month the platform will calculate how many sessions attended and what range the client’s attendance and the amount for services fall into. For example:
From 0 to 0: 5 euros (means that they will have to pay 5 euros even if they did not attend)
From 1 to 3: 12 euros (if they attended 1 or 2 or 3 times, then the price of the first session will be 12 euros)
From 4 to 5: 18 euros
etc…

Additional options for calculating variable prices:
-> define the minimum amount paid for the service if the client has never visited;
-> define the maximum amount of the bill if the client has always visited;
-> additional line in the invoice according to your wish

SO YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO CHOOSE ANY PRICING OPTION, AND EDUFY

-> will calculate the price;
-> will generate and send an invoice for payment;
-> will automatically send reminders;
-> the fund collection function will credit the money and mark the invoices as “paid”.
